Influential, Motivator, Anointed and Powerful Proclaimer; are a few words to describe this African American millennial woman, known as Charity Michelle Fisher. Charity was born in Norfolk, VA., to the proud parents of Pastor Armstead and Co-Pastor Gwendolyn Fisher. She accepted Christ in her life at an early age and shortly thereafter her parents discovered that she was blessed with the gift of singing. During that time, she received vocal training by Dr. Emma Graig Harris. Over the years, Charity has been privileged to perform for local and national gospel artists; Kim Burrell, Ricky Dillard, Peggy Britt, Patrick Riddick & D’vyne Worship, and many others. In 2016, she released her very own gospel single entitled, “Glory & Honor”.
Charity Fisher is a graduate of Maury High School in Norfolk, VA. She holds an earned Bachelors Degree in English with a concentration in Speech-Language Pathology, from Elizabeth City State University. Charity holds a Master of Divinity Degree from the esteemed Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. She is currently enrolled in the ACTS Preaching Program at Chicago Theological Seminary, in Chicago, Illinois, where she is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry Degree. Evangelist Charity Fisher is employed with Portsmouth Public Schools as a ninth-grade English teacher at I.C. Norcom High School. Charity also serves as the Parliamentarian for the Urban League of Hampton Roads Young Professionals.
In 2013, she was licensed as an Evangelist in the Church of God In Christ, Inc. She is a member of Greater Revival Outreach Ministries, under the leadership of her parents, Pastor Armstead and Co-Pastor Gwendolyn Fisher. Charity serves as the church’s executive pastor and minister of music. God has blessed her to preach numerous revivals and to travel locally and abroad, declaring the good news of Jesus Christ. A few of her ministry highlights include, but are not limited to; preaching at Hampton University’s Ministers Conference “Nu Voices” late night service in 2016, becoming the first female millennial panelist for the African American Pentecostal Conference at Virginia Union University and in March of 2018, she was selected as the first woman and millennial voice to participate as a preacher for the Seven Last Words Service, at the Historic Second Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk, VA.
Charity Fisher is the founder and host of a weekly devotional ministry entitled “Fresh Start”, which airs via social media every Monday morning. These inspirational videos have impacted lives all over the world. She has a heart to provide inspiration and hope to those she encounters. Charity lives by her own God-inspired motto, “Yesterday is not your today, your today is not your tomorrow, God has given you a Fresh Start!”
